How to Configure your Firewall for Use With TC2000 v7
This article describes the settings that would need to be enabled in order for TC2000 v7 to function with a Firewall correctly.
Please note: Tech Support is not trained on how to configure your firewall or authorized to make changes to your firewall.
Firewalls
If your firewall allows you to set Program Exceptions, please add TeleChart.exe.
If your firewall does not allow you to set Program Exceptions, you will need to configure access to port numbers and/or server addresses. For TC2000 v7 Gold service, please make sure ports 80 and 443 are open. The server address is dl.tcnet.ws. For TC2000 v7 Platinum service, you will also need tcnet.tcnet.info/hermes2 to sign-in. Chat uses ports 81.and the server is chat.stockscope.com. Real Time data uses port 443 and the server is nrt.stockscope.com.
Note: Whenever possible, it is preferable to configure a firewall by server address instead of IP address. If your firewall or network filters only allows IP exceptions, use the instructions in the âHow to Determine IPsâ section below.
How to determine IP Addresses
Note: From time to time, IP addresses will change without notice. You will need to reconfigure the firewall anytime a server address moves to a new IP.
