How to Filter a Current WatchList With An Existing Condition Set
You can now Filter (Scan) any WatchList on the fly with any Condition or Condition Set saved in the Condition library. This allows for quick access to and application of any saved conditions to any WatchList being viewed. Here are the steps for Filtering an existing WatchList using saved condition(s).
1. Place a Checkmark next to Filter in any WatchList
This opens the Filter menu within the WatchList.
2. Click the Filter dropdown (Default says No Conditions); choose the Add Condition icon.
Choose Add True/False Column
This opens the library of saved Conditions/Condition Sets that can be used to Filter or Sort the WatchList
3. Select Filter Condition/Condition Set
In the Search field type the name of the condition(s) to be used for the Filter.
If you don't know the name of the condition(s) you can use the Categories to narrow the list and scroll to find the desired condition/condition set.
4. You are now Filtering the WatchList by the selected condition/condition set.
A column has been added for your condition with a checkmark by each stock that meets the criteria. This column remains active whether or not you are using it as a filter.
5. Review Results
The resulting list of symbols will meet all of the Conditions that were set as part of the Condition Set for the selected WatchList.
The total number of stocks found with the Filter conditions is always at the bottom of the WatchList window.
The time stamp next to Filter shows when the conditions were last updated.
To refresh the Filter results click the icon which looks like two arrows going in a circle.
Streaming Filters: TC2000 Platinum users can Stream such Scans in real time. Choosing a refresh rate allows you to decide how often you want your scan results to be automatically re-scanned. Click the Refresh drop down menu. Choose the time interval at which you want your scan to be refreshed. TC2000 automatically re-scans the WatchList to update results on that interval.
To apply the condition to any time frame, click the Filter dropdown and choose the desired bar interval next to the condition set.
To sync the time frame to any other tool window (e.g. the Chart) use the TimeFrame link menu
6. Edit Condition Set
To re-enter/Edit the Condition Set condition(s), click on the Filter drop down
Click the name of the Filter to edit.
Click on any of the Conditions
Change criteria settings in the Editor. Click OK when completed.
7. Filter a different WatchList for the Condition/Condition Set
Click the WatchList dropdown menu to select a different WatchList. Click on the name of the desired WatchList to make it the active list being filtered by the Filter condition(s).
8. Stop the Filter
Uncheck the Filter tick box to stop the conditions from filtering the WatchList
