How To Filter With a True/False Column

Filters act to limit a WatchList to the items that meet the condition(s). Filters can be single or multiple conditions which can be created from the chart, through a wizard or with Personal Criteria Formula. Multiple filters can be applied to a single WatchList. They can be turned on and off as individual filters or as a group. Filters exist as True/False columns in a WatchList.

Note: A filter in version 23 is exactly the same function as an EasyScan in previous versions of TC2000 (with the exception that it is applied as a True/False column in v23).

Activating An Existing Filters

Individual Filters--there are multiple ways to activate a filter within a WatchList.

FROM A COLUMN HEADER: Right-click on a T/F Column header and hover cursor over Filter

Select Active from the Menu

If there are other filters active in the WatchList, you can turn them off and only filter by this column. Use: Filter this column only.

FROM THE EDIT COLUMN & FILTERS WINDOW: Click the Edit button at the top of the WatchList

This opens the Edit Columns & Filters window. Click the Filter radial button on the filter you wish to active. The filter icon will appear.

Click Close. The filter is now active and shows in the Filter check box at the top of your WatchList

When activated, the filter limits the WatchList results to those that meet the condition of that T/F Filter. An active filter is shown by the Filter check box and the top of the WatchList and in the Edit Columns & Filters window.
