TC2000 allows you to display event markers for past Notes, Earnings, Splits, Dividends, and News Stories* on any chart template. This article will show you how to manage these markers.

* News may require additional data feeds

Right click on your chart and select Edit Chart Properties

Select the Event Markers tab

From this menu you can place a check mark next to the markers you would like to make visible

You can also select the colors you would like to use for these markers

Where appropriate you can also choose to show values for these markers by checking the box next to show values for the relevant item

Here are examples of earnings markers shown with and without their values

Lets turn on Earnings and News Markers

Event Marker settings are chart template specific, this means that you can have a variety of charts in your layout showing different combinations of these markers.

Taking a look at the chart you can see that if multiple markers would be displayed on a bar an item count is given instead.

Place your mouse pointer on an item count and hold down the left click button to see a quick list of these items

Use the mouse wheel to scroll through the list of items, pressing spacebar will open any news articles in a News reader window

Lets click and hold on this item count to see a list of its 22 items, you can see from the colored pips that it contains both News Stories and Earnings

Here is how the mixed items list appears, Earnings of $0.49/share appears at the top of the list the rest of the stories appear below in chronological order.

Right clicking on any of the event markers allows you to view the select news item in a reader window, edit event markers, open a feed of all news headlines for the active symbol or quickly remove the event markers.
