How To Show The Start of a Moving Average Period
You can now use a dot, line or dashed line to demarcate the initial point from which a Moving Average of any type is being calculated. (For example, a dot is placed 50 bars back on a 50-bar moving average to show where the beginning of the average calculation is.)
1. Click on the Moving Average name in the Chart pane legend

2. Select Edit from the dropdown menu.
3. Select the way you want to show the beginning period of the Moving Average. Click OK to save the notation.
- Dot--places a dot at the beginning point of the moving average calculation.
- Line--places a vertical line on the chart at the beginning point of the moving average calculation.
- Dashed Line--places a vertical dashed line on the chart at the beginning point of the moving average calculation.
