How to Set the Sort Columns In An Option Chain
You can not only view an option chain for any optionable stock symbol, but you can customize the Option Chain window to contain the data you most want to see. Steps to customizing the option chain sort columns are below.
1. Right click on the chart and choose Option Chain from the drop down menu
2. This will display the Option Chain for the current active symbol.
3. Remove Any Unwanted Sort Column from the Option Chain
Click on any column header in the Option Chain and choose Delete to remove it
4. Add New Value Column to the Option Chain
Click the Add Column (orange plus) button to choose Add Value Column.
Value column: select from a variety of saved (both system and user) criteria which can be added as a simple, sortable value to the option chain. (Examples: Volume, ATR, a custom PCF; etc.)
Note: the Options selection in the drop down menu opens criteria directly related to Options Trading
Click on the criteria to add as a sort column to the Option Chain
This adds the column to the other columns in the option chain
5. Add New Condition Column to the Option Chain
Click the Add Column (orange plus) button to choose Add Condition Column.
Condition column: select from a variety of saved (both system and user) criteria which can be added as a condition value to the option chain. (Examples: Above average Volume, option price below moving average, a custom PCF; etc.)
Click New Condition Set to build a new condition to be used in the sortable column
Click Add condition to create a new condition or condition set

This adds the column to the other columns in the option chain
6. Save the Option Chain
Click the Add Column (orange plus) button to choose Save Column Set.
- Select Save As and name the Column Set to add to the column set library
- Select Save As default for this list "Option Chain" to use this set of columns each time you open any option chain
