Navigating the News Feed Window (copied)
This article will walk you through all the features of the news feed window, there are multiple ways to open this window but the quickest would be from the News & Notes menu. News articles and Videos do require additional subscriptions.
The News feed window can show a chronological listing of Personal Notes, News Articles, and Videos for all symbols or for specific symbols.
You can click on any of these stories to select it or use the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate through the list
Selecting the pop out button will open the full note, story, or video in a reader window
This button appears when you hover over the story headline
Included in the headline is a count of the symbols mentioned in the story or video, click on it to open a watchlist of those items
When showing news for a specific symbol, in this case the DJ-30, a list of symbols will be appear on the left of the feed window showing the most recent news stories that have come in for other symbols, clicking on the symbol will change the news feed to that symbol
You can change which types of items show up in the feed by clicking on the button in the top left of the feed window
You can then select to show news based on a specific symbol, your positions window, or all symbols. You can also choose which type of stories you would like to see in the feed
The lock button allows you to lock the feed to the current symbol. When selected, changing the active symbol on a chart or watchlist will no longer change to that symbol in the news feed.
